Northgate Inn

Very nice place for how old the building looked, really nice local attendants that gave us our keys. The doors all face inward into a hallway. The rooms were very clean. The night we stayed it was freezing cold outside but stayed very nice and warm inside.

So first things first this isn't the fanciest of hotels by any means. It could definitely use some updating but if your looking for a decent inexpensive night of sleep I'd recommend giving this hotel a try. The management staff are very friendly and do their best to ensure you have a great stay.

The manager (Lisa) was extremely helpful and very pleasant to work with! She went out of her way a few times to stop what she was doing to help me out. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Challis and I will definitely be staying here again just based off of customer service alone!

The manager Lisa was very accommodating and very helpful upon my reservation at the front desk. I needed an extension on my stay and the hotel manager went out of her to fit me in quickly and I was even able to keep my same room upon such a short notice. Help staff was very friendly, provided for all my needs upon every request, always smiling and went out of their way to make my stay more comfortable. People here in Challis over all seem to be very friendly while carrying that small town charm.

Staying here now and we love it! It’s such a charming hotel. The rooms are so pretty inside-we love how ours is decorated in burgundy and creams. All the furniture seems fairly new in our room too and everything is so clean and smells so fresh. The Mountain view is spectacular too. Will definitely stay here again!

Sturdy and clean motel ; I really appreciated the friendliness. The thoughtfulness of providing a small common kitchen with utensils was unexpected. The bed was very comfortable and while there was some heavy walker above in the second floor, I slept really well. Would stay again!

Hotel looks pretty shabby from the outside. Inside is a bit better, but it's old. When they gave us the keys to our 2 rooms one was occupied and the other one still needed to be cleaned, but they quickly gave us another room and the one that needed to be cleaned was done immediately. Rooms were very clean. Hotel seemed noisy, could easily hear sounds from other rooms, but during the night it was actually very quiet. All in all the first impression might not be great at this hotel, but it's actually a good affordable option for this region.

So late arrival and last min. Was a great place for basics and all we needed. Would suggest this place to anyone! Did not have any bugs like the sleep did in Jordan utah.

Lynelle (Manager), was such a delight as always my best friend and I stayed here again for the third time. Our first time we came it was 3 am and she so kindly gave us a room, the second time was again at 3 am and again gave us a room. No matter what hour of the night she still got us taken care of. This time we arrived at a more decent hour and she was so delighted to see us as we were her. The rooms are sinple, clean and quiet. I definitely will be staying here again the next time I come back to Challis.

For the price its a great place to stay. New manager that is going to fix the place up. The room was clean and the service was above and beyond. Its definitely an old hotel that is nicer on the inside than on the outside. Reserve online for a cheaper price. They allow pets.
